A rule governing the role play of Effects. From the Accelerant core rules:

"If an effect has been inflicted upon you, you must abide by the restriction of that effect until it is removed. If you have a Slow effect you cannot run. If you have the Maim effect you cannot use the maimed limb. Effects can be inflicted upon you in a variety of ways."

Even though a player may not be restricted physically, they are expected to role play any situation that is impeding their character as if they were. Players should familiarize themselves with common effects and verbals so that they understand the nature of how their character should react to a given situation and for how long. For example, a character with a maimed limb might let their arm dangle uselessly at their side until they receive treatment. Players are expected to make their best effort to role play how their character is reacting to the effect.
